BBC Summer Good Food Show 2010

With the World Cup now only 4 days away, some people will be waiting with bated breath for the start of the tournament, whilst other people are already looking forward to it being over with. Whether you are a football fan or not though, there are plenty of very good exhibitions coming in the next 4 weeks either as something to experience in between games or as an escape from Summer Food Showthe TV.

One of these top shows is the BBC series of food shows which between the 16th - 20th June 2010 means the Summer BBC Good Food Show. This annual event is now well established and is one of those events which many people often attend year on year given the choice of food samplings, experts on hand and workshops.

Some popular TV chefs will be running some of the theatre/workshops this year - with Rachel Allen and James Martin both present in person. If beer rather than food is your thing then the Beer Tasting area highlights beers from a number of producers and is a great option, especially at only £7 for the entrance to this area. The cookery experience section with live cooking classes tends also to be another popular part of the Good Food Show. Allow plenty of time for this show i.e. a whole day because there is a lot going on.

This show is 1 of a series of 4 - full schedule:

  • Glasgow in October 2010
  • Olympia, London in November 2010
  • Birmingham NEC in October 2010
  • Birmingham NEC June 2010

Coming this weekend....Canary Wharf Motor Expo

Car Exhibitions and Expos are not for everyone but if you are interested in Motor Cars in anyway then there are always some excellent annual shows which take place across the world. The Motor industry is big business and this tends to reflect the size, length and budget spent on Motor Expos. Many major cities worldwide have a major Car expo, including with Paris Motor Show, Barcelona Salon International and New York International Auto Show.

In the UK the Birmingham Motor Show has always been one of the biggest car shows in the country but in recent the Canary Wharf Motor Expo has managed to claim its place on the annual exhibitions calendar and this show is due to take place for 2010 between June 7th and 13th.

This show brings to London some of the very latest cars and related technology and next week you will have the chance to see the 'Mazda MX-5 Superlight concept' and see the latest Bentley in the form of the new Continental Supersports Convertible. This show puts a high emphasis on the very latest cars and for the manufacturers, this show can be very worthwhile in terms of sales.

For visitors its a fantastic chance to see the likes of Audi, Jaguar and BMW and their latest ideas. If you have never seen a Formula 1 car then this should also be your chance given that in previous years, one of the manufacturers involved with F1 have displayed one of their previous F1 cars. You can learn more about the Canary Wharf Motor Expo online.
