Exhibition Exhibiting: Using the net to promote your presence

When exhibiting at an exhibition, as well as the visitor numbers generated from the marketing which the event and venue organisers help to attract, there is nothing to also stop you from doing your own marketing. You can utilise tools such as the Internet and start building your own list of intended stand visitors.

1. Using Social Bookmarking - If you have an online presence on sites such as Twitter and Facebook you can post information about the event/s you Exhibition Marketingare attending. On Facebook you might have a company Fans Page or Group page and this is a good place to add in events.

2. Blog - If you have a company blog or personal blog, you might want to write about the event you are attending, giving useful, unique and handy information for visitors to the event. You can detail also information for your visitors including the stand number and location where your site will be.

3. Database - If you collect a list of subscribers via your website then letting everyone on your list know about the exhibitions you will be present at, can be a great way to get word out. Be sure though to give people enough time to plan ahead for getting to the event.
